Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader arrives on Nintendo Switch 2

December 12, 2025 by Andrew Newton

The light of the God Emperor is shining down on Nintendo Switch 2 as Owlcat Games announces the arrival of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. As the first Warhammer 40,000 game to arrive on the Switch 2, players will be pleased to hear that Owlcat Games has pushed the boat out by including all the game’s updates along with the base game, providing over 100 hours of playtime.  Watch the new launch trailer below…

In Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, players take the role of a member of an ancient dynasty of brave privateers (also known as Rogue Traders) who have been trading and protecting a region of space on the very edge of Imperial Space. With the blessings of the Emperor, and by virtue of their Warrant of Trade, these privateers take control of massive vessels known as Voidships and not only defend the borders of the Imperium of Man, but also expand human territory.

As well as an advanced Voidship, players also have access to a large number of personnel who will follow their leader without question. The personnel will do whatever you ask of them, even help in combat where necessary.

Players will have many decisions to make as they travel through space, including whether to treat the personnel with mercy or disdain, or even whether to stay loyal to the Emperor or betray him by consorting with the enemies of the Imperium. Whatever decision is made, it will send ripples across whole star systems and change the in-game world.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is available now on the Nintendo Switch 2. The game’s two DLC’s will also be coming in the future.
