Saturday Night Live veteran Bill Hader will be making his debut behind the camera as he will write, direct and star in the horror film They Know.
The film centers on a divorced dad (Hader) who grows suspicious that his ex-wife is secretly dating a mysterious man who is having a strange influence on their children.
Hader will produce the film alongside Bob Graf for Hanarply with Alyssa Donovan serving as a co-producer. The story comes from Hader and his Barry colleague Duffy Boudreau.
MRC, which recently produced the Margot Robbie hit Wuthering Heights, will finance and produce They Know with production set to begin this spring.
Hader is most known for starring in SNL and other comedies such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Trainwreck and Inside Out, but he has also featured in dramatic roles in The Skeleton Twins and HBO’s dramedy series Barry. He is also no stranger to horror as he starred as the older Richie Tozier in It: Chapter Two.
