Aaron Pierre to return as Green Lantern in Man of Tomorrow

March 12, 2026 by Ricky Church

Though Aaron Pierre’s debut as Green Lantern John Stewart is still months away in the HBO series Lanterns, fans can already expect to see more of him in the new DC Universe as the actor will reprise his role in James Gunn’s Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow.

Man of Tomorrow is scheduled to begin production in April and will see Superman and Lex Luthor form a reluctant partnership against the intergalactic villain Brainiac. Alongside Luthor, Brainiac is another of Superman’s classic and most formidable villains as he travels throughout the universe destroying civilizations, capturing one city to retain their knowledge and culture for himself.

David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult are returning as Superman and Lex Luthor with new addition Lars Eidinger (Jay Kelly) as Brainiac. Man of Tomorrow will also see the return of Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Maria Gabriella de Faria as The Engineer.

Lanterns will see Pierre’s Stewart being trained by Hal Jordan, a veteran member of the Green Lantern Corps, as they investigate a mysterious murder in a small American town. Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner will also appear in the first season when it premieres this August.

Man of Tomorrow will be released on July 9th, 2027.
