Legendary Korean genre filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho, responsible for Train to Busan, Peninsula, and Hellbound, returns to the world of zombie horror with Colony, a survival story which focuses on a group of people trapped inside a high-rise during a zombie outbreak.

A biotechnology professor, Se-jeong (Jun Ji-hyun), is attending a biotech conference that erupts into chaos with the release of a rapidly mutating virus. The outbreak results in the transformation of infected people, prompting authorities to seal off the facility and trap survivors inside with an escalating threat.
Colony is set to premiere in the Midnight Section at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival in May, before infecting the rest of the world in 2026 including the US and Canada on on August 28th.
