Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor Adventures – Run Fast, Be Kind coming to Big Finish this July

April 15, 2026 by Andrew Newton

Big Finish has revealed more story details on the upcoming The Twelfth Doctor Adventures: Run Fast, Be Kind, a brand-new audio drama series starting this July, and available to pre-order now. Set across six episodes, this new series has the Doctor gain a new companion, Ash Wilton from the end of the universe.

These six new episodes are set between the Doctor Who TV Christmas specials, The Husbands of River Song and The Return of Doctor Mysterio. Through these adventures, listeners will follow the pair as they journey through time and space, all the while heading towards an old and dangerous enemy – the Eternal Dalek (last confronted by the Eleventh Doctor in Victory of the Doctor).

The six episodes in this new series for the Twelfth Doctor are:

The Second Death by Alfie Shaw – At the end of the universe, a lone wanderer travels across the wastes of Kersarin, bringing joy to those who listen to his songs and stories. Ash Wilton provides a little bit of hope to those in darkness, and he’s pretty sure you don’t get time travellers visiting the end of everything.

In The Broken Man by Rochana Patel, the Doctor and Ash arrive in Scotland, where the Doctor has unfinished business. An archaeological mystery awaits them, one that the Doctor is desperate to solve.

Jon Culshaw and Gwithian Evans

The Beautiful and the Damned by Katherine White takes the pair to a futuristic paradise for content creators. Created by Best Life Inc., Mentior City promises everyone who arrives the perfect spot to build an audience. For those who don’t think they look the part, the company offers them a makeover with their Refiner system.

Based on a story by Alex Hewitt, Alfie Shaw’s Wings of Steel takes the listener to the ruined world of Doorahla, where the Ultima have convened. They’ve defeated their enemies and managed to capture a Time Lord.

Duty of Care by Christian Markham – The Doctor doesn’t intentionally kill his enemies, not even those he despises the most. He ruins sinister plots and evil plans, but he’ll always offer mercy. However, someone doesn’t agree with the mercy he is showing and is travelling across all of time and space killing all the villains who survived the Doctor.

Finally, in The Second Death of the Daleks by Alfie Shaw, a lone wanderer is travelling across the wastes of Kersarin. Bringing joy to those in the darkness with his songs and stories. This all sounds familiar, and I’m sure the Doctor killed that Dalek before.

The Twelfth Doctor Adventures: Run Fast, Be Kind is available to pre-order now for £43.99 for all six digital episodes. For a limited time, episode one is available to pre-order for £5.99.
