Charlie Cox thinks Daredevil would be “a perfect fit” alongside The Avengers

March 17, 2016 by Gary Collinson

We’re just a few hours away from the arrival of Daredevil season two on Netflix, and the Man Without Fear himself Charlie Cox has been speaking to Comic Book about his character, stating that he believes Matt Murdock would be “a perfect fit” alongside The Avengers on the big screen side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Some people have said that they wonder about, based on the tone the show, how Matt would fit in with the Avengers,” states Cox. “I was reading Civil War the other day, and Matt Murdock… is kind of an ass. He’s in the back, standing around grumpy a lot of the time, and every now and again, he just says ‘Well, we’re not doing that’ or something to that effect, and I’m like, ‘That’s the character, we’re fine.’ So tonally, with Matt I think we’re right on point and he’d be a perfect fit in the larger MCU.”

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios. Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
