Cineverse’s Hollywood murder mystery Chapter 51 has released its trailer. Featuring Euphoria‘s Colman Domingo and Abigail Breslin (Zombieland), the film is directed and written by Tyler Shields (Final Girl) and spans decades – as well as several different types of film formats – as an FBI agent is obsessed with solving a cold case.
Chapter 51 revolves around the making of Dissident, ‘the most controversial film ever made’ due to its production being plagued by a serial killer, leading to the aforementioned unsolved case. The trailer shows off multiple types film used including IMAX, VistaVision, Ultra70 Panavision, and Kodak film stock to emulate the different eras of Hollywood filmmaking.
Featuring alongside Domingo and Breslin are Emily Alyn Lind (We Were Liars), Charlotte Lawrence (Bad Monkey), Dylan Sprayberry (Teen Wolf) and Connor Paolo (Gossip Girl).
CHAPTER 51 follows an elusive serial killer known as the Hollywood Killer who turns a high-profile film production into a grisly crime scene, murdering three actresses and casting a dark shadow over the troubled project. As fear, speculation, and chaos spread behind the cameras, the production becomes forever linked to a case that shocks Hollywood and remains unresolved. Years later, former FBI agent Thomas Scott reopens the cold case, revisiting the events surrounding the murders and uncovering secrets that refuse to stay buried.
Chapter 51 will be released on VOD on June 23rd.
