Fast & Furious 8 casts Game of Thrones’ Kristofer Hivju

April 7, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

The Wrap is reporting that Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju looks set to join the cast of the latest entry into the Fast & Furious franchise, Fast 8, where he is reportedly set to play a henchman for the film’s villain.

As yet, there’s been no official word as to who may be playing the film’s new big bad, but reports earlier this year suggested that Charlize Theron (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) is the number one choice.

F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) is directing the new installment, which sees the return of franchise favourites Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. In addition Jason Statham and Kurt Russell, who featured in Fast 7, are also set to appear.

Fast 8 is the first of three new films (a mini trilogy) set for release over the next few years. It will open on April 14th, 2017, with Fast & Furious 9 set for April 19th 2019 and Fast & Furious 10 due to arrive on April 2nd, 2021.
