Karl Urban gives update on that potential Dredd sequel series

May 3, 2016 by James Garcia

Since its release in 2012, fans of Karl Urban’s Dredd have been clamoring for a sequel. Unfortunately, there weren’t enough of those fans to rake in enough cash at the box office to make that a surefire possibility, but that hasn’t stopped them (or Urban himself) from petitioning for another action-packed adventure into Mega-City One.

Just last week, Urban supported the idea of bringing a Dredd follow-up to Netflix or Amazon, and now he’s offered fans another small glimmer of hope. Over the weekend, Urban attended the Calgary Expo, and said during a Q&A that conversations are happening.”

This is, of course, a far cry from an official announcement that such a revival is actually happening, but at least it’s a bit of fuel to keep the fire going a bit longer.
