Bryan Cranston set for Channel 4’s Philip K. Dick anthology series Electric Dreams

May 10, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

Bryan Cranston (Trumbo, Breaking Bad) is set to star in and executive produce a new anthology series with Channel 4 exploring the world of renowned sci-fi author Philip K. Dick.

Electric Dreams: The World of Philip K. Dick will be a 10-part anthology series which has Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) and Michael Dinner (Masters of Sex) writing. The show will feature ten stand-alone episodes “with a writer’s room made up of both British and American writers.”

On the news, Cranston said in a statement: “This is an electric dream come true… We are so thrilled to be able to explore and expand upon the evergreen themes found in the incredible work of this literary master.”

Dick’s back-catalogue includes Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, made by Ridley Scott as 1982’s Blade Runner, as well as A Scanner Darkly and The Man in The High Castle. The show will premiere in the UK on Channel 4 with Sony Pictures Television in charge of international distribution.
