Jennifer Lawrence on Mystique’s first kill in X-Men: Days of Future Past

November 13, 2013 by admin

2013 has certainly been a great year for Jennifer Lawrence. First she bagged herself an Academy Award for Best Actress her work in Silver Linings Playbook, and now she’s about to headline one of the year’s biggest hits in the eagerly-awaited The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

This time next year, she’ll reprise the role of Katniss Everdeen for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, but not before returning to the X-Men franchise for a second outing as Mystique in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, and during a promotional interview for Catching Fire, the actress has dropped a few hints about what’s in store for the shape-shifting mutant.

“We find Raven… she’s split off from Eric and Charles and she’s kind of her own agent,” Lawrence tells IGN. “She has one mission of trying to assassinate somebody and it will be her first kill basically, and because we’ve seen her in the future and what she becomes and this is kind of a turning point for her.”

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is released on November 22nd with Lawrence starring alongside Johs Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Jenna Malone and Philip Seymour Hoffman while X-Men: Days of Future Past opens on May 23rd 2014 and also features Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Peter Dinklage.
