Melissa Rosenberg to write and produce Marvel’s Jessica Jones miniseries

November 13, 2013 by admin

Yesterday we heard that Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods) has signed on to script Marvel and Netflix’s upcoming Daredevil miniseries, and now it’s been revealed that Melissa Rosenberg (The Twilight Saga, Dexter) will write and produce Jessica Jones.

Rosenberg originally signed on to develop an adaptation of Alias entitled AKA Jessica Jones for ABC three years ago, only for the pilot for to be put on hold. It’s understood that her initial idea will undergo redevelopment, presumably to ensure it fits in with Marvel’s plan to build towards The Defenders with separate miniseries for Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

Are you happy that Rosenberg’s vision for Jessica Jones is finally going to reach the screen, and who would you like to see taking on the reins for Luke Cage and Iron Fist? Let us know in the comments below…
