Adventureland stars Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga, Snow White and the Huntsman) and Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Now You See Me) are to reunite next year for the indie comedy American Ultra, which is to be directed by Nima Nourizadeh (Project X) from a script by Max Landis (Chronicle).
According to Variety, the film will see “Eisenberg [portraying] a stoner who lives with his girlfriend (Stewart) in a small town. His life takes an unexpected turn when his past comes back to haunt him and he becomes the target of a government operation to wipe him out.”
Filming on American Ultra is set to get underway in April, with Anthony Bregman, David Alpert, and Britton Rizzio producing.
