With production on The Killing of a Sacred Deer getting underway, Deadline is reporting that Alicia Silverstone has joined the cast of the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed film, alongside Raffey Cassidy (Tomorrowland) and Bill Camp (Jason Bourne).
The Killing of a Sacred Deer reunites Lanthimos with his The Lobster star Colin Farrell, while Nicole Kidman (Secret in Their Eyes), Barry Keoghan (’71) and Sunny Suljic (The Unspoken) also star.
The film sees Farrell as Steven, “a charismatic surgeon forced to make an unthinkable sacrifice after his life starts to fall apart when the behavior of a teenager (Keoghan) he has taken under his wing turns sinister. Kidman plays Farrell’s wife. Silverstone will play the mother of the boy.”
