Jack Reynor, James Franco, Dennis Quaid and Zoe Kravitz set for sci-fi Kin

September 1, 2016 by Gary Collinson

As per Deadline, directors Jonathan and Josh Baker have secured their leads for Kin, an adaptation of their 2014 short film Bag Man, with Jack Reynor (Sing Street), James Franco (11.22.63), Dennis Quaid (The Art of More) and Zoe Kravitz (Mad Max: Fury Road) signing on for the sci-fi action thriller.

Written by Daniel Casey, who was responsible for uncredited rewrites on 10 Cloverfield Lane, as well as penning the upcoming Sylvester Stallone crime thriller Godforsaken, Kin “revolves around a recently released ex-con (Reynor) and his adopted younger brother who are forced to go on the run. Chased by a vengeful criminal (Franco), the feds and a cadre of otherworldly soldiers, their only protection is a found weapon of mysterious ancestry.” Quaid will portray the father of the two brothers, with Kravitz as a young woman who joins them on the run.
