Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – new details on Wonder Woman, Batman and Lex Luthor

June 23, 2014 by admin

We reported earlier that Latino Review are claiming footage will of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be shown at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con and now we have some new rumours from JoBlo.

There could be potential spoilers below…

On Wonder Woman’s costume:

Earlier reports were that [the costume] would be the jacket and leggins outfit, however that is inaccurate. This Wonder Woman is ripped right from the comics and has a traditional – yet sleeker – costume that’s quoted as being ‘battle ready’. She’ll have a blue leather skirt, silver armour cuffs that reach to her elbows, a golden tiara with possibly the red star as the design and a variation of the traditional looking red top. Her overall appearance is described as Amazon Warrior Princess and definitely not an urban re-imagining. Apparently Warner Bros. are thrilled with the costume and our own source used the term “bad ass” several times.

On her weapons:

No less than four overall including her shield, sword, spear and – of course – her famous lasso. Our source also noted that she’ll wear the shield on her back, much like Captain America does when she’s not using it.

On how much Wonder Woman will be in the movie:

“Her character will be introduced as Diana initially before we ever see her as Wonder Woman. She’ll have a fair amount of screen time and will team up with Batman and Superman to fight an unnamed villain who may be working for or controlled by criminal mastermind Lex Luthor. Her origin will be intentionally vague but she will be brought into the fold to show there are other superheroes in the universe besides Superman.”

On Batman:

“This new Batman is said to be a veteran crime fighter who will do anything it takes to get the job done. Superman is a follower so they don’t often see eye to eye which is a consistent dynamic with their initial relationship.”

On Wayne Manor:

Wayne Manor is in the film, but Bruce Wayne chooses to live on the property in a modern looking cottage by the lake. Underneath this cottage is a modern-looking Batcave with the Batwing, the Batmobile and all his other crime-fighting tools.

On Lex Luthor:

In the film Lex Luthor, who is rumoured to have longish red hair at the beginning of the film thinks he is God’s gift to humanity and the best humanity has to offer which leads to his obvious hatred of Superman. Because Superman is basically a God, it makes Lex feel less than perfect. Lex tries to sway people to dislike and fear Superman which he is successful in doing so partly. Some see him as a superhero, while some see him as a threat.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for release on May 6th 2016, with Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), and Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
