Maisie Williams joins the cast of Aardman’s Early Man

January 17, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Aardman and StudioCanal have announced that Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams has joined the voice cast of Nick Park’s hotly-anticipated prehistoric animated comedy Early Man.

Williams will lend her voice to Goona, the gallant and indomitable rebel who befriends the film’s hero Dug (Eddie Redmayne), who helps steer him through the clash of the Stone Age and Bronze Age civilisations. Tom Hiddleston is also on board as the villainous Lord Nooth.

“I’m a huge Aardman fan – having the chance to work with Nick Park is a dream come true, especially as I get to voice such a fantastic character as Goona,” said Williams. “I can’t wait for audiences to meet her”.

“Maisie is a terrific actress, and she is of course no stranger to embodying a valiant heroine,” added director Nick Park. “I’m most excited to see her breathe life into Goona – I know she’ll be the perfect ally to Eddie’s Dug.”
