THR is reporting that John Lithgow has signed on for a role in the musical comedy threequel Pitch Perfect 3, although details of his character are being kept under wraps.
Trish Sie (Step Up All In) is directing Pitch Perfect 3, which will see the return for Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, Alexis Knapp, Hana Mae Lee, Ester Dean, Chrissie Fit, Kelley Jakle, Shelley Regner and Elizabeth Banks. Ruby Rose is also set to appear, because she’s in everything these days.
As announced last week, Lithgow is also in talks to appear in the comedy sequel Daddy’s Home 2 alongside Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg and Mel Gibson.
Pitch Perfect 3 is set for release on December 22nd.
