Ciaran Hinds joins Jennifer Lawrence in Red Sparrow

Silence and Game of Thrones actor Ciaran Hinds has been cast alongside Jennifer Lawrence in Fox’s Red Sparrow, which is based on Jason Matthews’ espionage novel.

The Irish actor will join a sterling cast which includes Lawrence, Joel Edgerton, Matthias Schoenaerts, Jeremy Irons and Joely Richardson.

Francis Lawrence is directing the thriller which focuses on Russian intelligence officer Dominika Egorova (Lawrence), who is drafted against her will to become a Sparrow, a trained seductress.

Hinds has been cast to play Zyugonov, the director of the Russian bureau.

The film, which was originally written by American Hustle writer Eric Warren Singer, has been re-written Justin Haythe.

Red Sparrow is set for release on November 10th.
