Get Out’s Daniel Kaluuya joins Steve McQueen’s Widows

Fresh from the box office success of Jordan Peele’s horror movie Get Out [read our review here], actor Daniel Kaluuya has signed on to star in Widows, the new film from Shame and 12 Years a Slave director Steve McQueen.

Widows has been scripted by Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn and is based upon the British TV series created by Lynda La Plante. It follows the widows of a group of armed robbers, who team up to complete a raid when their husbands are killed on the job. Kaluuya joins a cast that so far includes Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Rodriguez.

British actor Kaluuya is currently shooting Marvel’s superhero movie Black Panther, where he plays the character of W’Kabi.
