Billie Lourd joins American Horror Story season 7

April 7, 2017 by Ricky Church

Originally published April 7, 2017. Updated April 16, 2018.

The next season of American Horror Story has just gained a new cast member who is already quite familiar to the genre and its fans. Deadline broke the news that Billie Lourd, who also stars in Scream Queens, is set to join the horror anthology for its seventh season. Lourd will be joining American Horror Story veterans Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters along with newcomer Billy Eichner.

Per creator Ryan Murphy’s m.o., very little information has been given about the next season of the anthology series and we know nothing about who Lourd could be playing. Murphy has only revealed that this season will take place in the modern day, revolving around the outcome of 2016’s U.S elections and could very well feature a character based on Donald Trump.

In the meantime, Lourd will be seen next with Taron Egerton in Billionaire Boys Club and will reprise her role as Lt. Connix in Star Wars: The Last Jedi later this year. In The Last Jedi, Lourd will be alongside her mother, the late Carrie Fisher, in her posthumous final performance as General Leia Organa.
