Steven Moffat working on a Star Wars movie?

July 10, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Chalk this one down firmly as a rumour, but Star Wars fan site Jedi News is reporting that Doctor Who showrunner and Sherlock co-creator Steven Moffat could be heading to a galaxy far, far away for a potential Star Wars project.

The site offers little in the way of detail, stating that it could either be for a standalone Star Wars movie, or Star Wars: Episode IX, which has Rian Johnson (Looper) attached to write a treatment.

This isn’t the first time that Moffat has been linked to Star Wars, with himself and former Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. Davies declining the opportunity to work on the now disbanded TV series Star Wars: Underworld.

Would you like to see Steven Moffat working on Star Wars? Let us know your thoughts…
