Randall Park to play S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Jimmy Woo in Ant-Man and the Wasp

July 8, 2017 by Gary Collinson

With production on Ant-Man and the Wasp set to begin this month, The Tracking Board is reporting that Fresh Off the Boat star Randall Park has joined the cast of the Marvel sequel.

Park is set to play Jimmy Woo, a SH.I.E.L.D. agent who actually made his comic book debut back in the Atlas Comics Silver Age title Yellow Claw #1 in 1956. He subsequently reappeared in Marvel’s 70s Godzilla series, and was retconned into the main Marvel continuity in the 2006 limited series Agents of Atlas.

Ant-Man and the Wasp reunites Ant-Man director Peyton Reed with stars Paul Rudd (Scott Lang), Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Michael Pena (Luis), David Dastmalchian (Kurt) and T.I. (Dave), while Hannah John-Kamen (Game of Thrones) has been cast in an as-yet-unrevealed role.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is set for release in the UK on June 29th, 2018, and in the US on July 6th, 2018.
