Video Game Review – Redeemer

August 6, 2017 by Lewy Buck

Lewy Buck reviews Redeemer…

For someone who enjoys twin-stick shooters I admittedly don’t play enough of them, from early titles such as Smash TV to the more recent Blacksea Odyssey I’ve never really had an awful experience with one but at the same time I’ve never thought one should have a place in my yearly top ten and Redeemer is a prime example of this.  Although the game lacks in terms of story it makes it up in gameplay with one of the most satisfying combat systems out there. To see some gameplay and a more in depth summery of the Redeemer check my video review below…

Pros

– Great combat

– Nice graphics

– The monastery has great level design

– Gun and melee weapons are fun

Cons

– Short

– Can become repetitive

– Needs more Music

– Performance issues

– Sometimes a little too difficult for normal difficulty.

Rating – 6.5/10

REDEEMER is an intense Brawler where you will punch, hack and blast your way through enemies using fists, hammers, fire arms and even the environment. It grabs the genre by the throat and drags it into 2017 in brutal style by adding a deep melee combat system and numerous unique types of kills. Redeemer is the brawler for those who love brawlers and have been waiting for a modern take on the genre!

Redeemer is available to purchase now through the Steam store.
