Doug Liman hoping to rebrand Edge of Tomorrow as Live Die Repeat

September 21, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Director of Edge of Tomorrow, Doug Liman, wants to rebrand the movie as Live Die Repeat.

Originally going by the name All You Need is Kill, the sci-fi blockbuster starring Tom Cruise eventually changed its name to Edge of Tomorrow, much to the protest of director Doug Liman. Once the film hit home video, however, it was heavily marketed with the name Live Die Repeat.

The film is to receive a sequel, also directed by Liman, with the title being announced as Live Die Repeat and Repeat. And now, according to Yahoo! Movies (via Screen Rant), Liman would like to rebrand the original movie to better tie in with the sequel.

“I’m hoping to rebrand it fully as Live Die Repeat, and the sequel will be inspired from that, whether it’s Live Die Repeat and Repeat or something else. Tom and I make movies for the long term, and I really think about getting the title settled for posterity.”

The sequel is set to pick up right after the first movie left off and will see the return of Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.
