Pedro Pascal joins Barry Jenkins’ If Beale Street Could Talk

Deadline is reporting that Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal has becom the latest addition to the cast of If Beale Street Could Talk, the next project from writer-director Barry Jenkins.

Based on James Baldwin’s novel, the film stars KiKi Layne as Tish, “a newly engaged Harlem woman who races against the clock to prove her lover’s innocence while carrying their first-born child. It is a celebration of love told through the story of a young couple, their families and their lives, trying to bring about justice through love, for love and the promise of the American dream.”

Also set to feature in the cast of the film are Stephan James (Race), Colman Domingo (The Birth of a Nation), Brian Tyree Henry (This Is Us), Regina King (The Leftovers), Dave Franco (The LEGO Ninjago Movie) and Ed Skrein (Deadpool).
