Jon Bernthal wants Barracuda and Kingpin to appear on The Punisher

February 21, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Star of The Punisher, Jon Bernthal, would like to see Barracuda and Kingpin join Frank Castle on the Netflix series.

Marvel’s The Punisher finished up its first season run last year but a second season has officially been announced by Netflix and is set to start filming this month.

Season one contained its fair share of Marvel universe tie-ins but Jon Bernthal, who plays vigilante Frank Castle on the hard-hitting show, would like to see a couple more familiar faces appear in the future.

Speaking during a Q&A for The Walking Dead’s 2018 Walker Stalker Cruise (via Screen Rant), Benrthal said: “Barracuda. I’d like to see Barracuda. I’d really like to get back in with Vincent D’Onofrio, with Kingpin. I mean, there’s so many twisted characters. But you know, I’m really eager to see… ah, shit, I’m gonna get in trouble. Let’s just see what happens, man. Let’s just see what happens.”

While details on The Punisher season 2 are sparse at the moment, apart from a rumour that it will follow The Slavers arc from the comics, it will be interesting to see just which familiar characters will crop up.

And just who was Bernthal going to say that he was “really eager” to see before cutting himself off?
