Is Mark Strong in Bond 24?

October 2, 2014 by James Garcia

Daniel Craig is currently preparing to begin work on the still-untitled 24th James Bond movie, and payed a little pre-filming visit to Morocco this week. There, he’s been spotted with The Imitation Game and Low Winter Sun actor Mark Strong.

The photo taken of them in Morocco together has sparked quite a bit of speculation that Strong is in fact in Bond 24, perhaps as the newest Bond villain. He’s often stated his desire to play that role, and has shown throughout his career that he can be a formidable adversary (just look at his work in Kick-Ass, Green Lantern, and Sherlock Holmes, which landed him on the top of fan wishlists for the role of Lex Luthor).

While it’s entirely possible that Strong is playing a Bond villain, this news should be taken with an Aston Martin-sized grain of salt. He and Craig are close friends, and Craig is even the godfather to his oldest son. So, it could just be that the two are hanging out together in Morocco before Craig plays 007 again.

Tell us, would you like to see Mark Strong play a Bond villain? Let us know in the comments below.

Bond 24 begins production on December 6th under director Sam Mendes. Craig is joined by returning stars Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Rory Kinnear, while Rihanna is rumored for an appearance as well.
