Daniel Bruhl joins Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War

Marvel Studios has announced that Daniel Bruhl (Inglourious Basterds, Rush) has signed on for an as-yet-unrevealed role in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, with producer Kevin Feige stating that: “With Daniel’s ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes.”

The actor joins Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) in the cast of the film, with Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Frank Grillo (Crossbones) also expected to feature.

Captain America: Civil War is to be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) andis set for release on May 6th 2016.
