Josh Homme plays himself on British comedy show Toast of London

December 10, 2014 by William Fanelli

Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme appeared on last night’s second series finale of the comedy show Toast of London. The musician starred alongside his wife Brody Dalle’s half-sister Morgana Robinson.

The premise of the episode, titled “Fool in Love,” revolved around Steven Toast (Matt Berry) running into one of his old ex’s, who’s since gotten married to Homme. Eventually, Toast and his former fling decide to hook back up, provoking him to confront Homme during a band practice, where the singer had just declared he and his bandmates should cancel their arena performances and just play churches. “You think I’m kidding,” says Homme says to his fellow musicians in a religious-based rant. “I dare you to test me. I will strangle you with the hands that the good Lord gave me.” Toast arrives in time to interrupt their practice and the situation escalates quickly with one swing of a blade.
