SNL teams up with Martin Freeman for The Office and The Hobbit mash-up

December 14, 2014 by Alfie Nobes

After the recent UK release of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and the upcoming U.S. release scheduled for next Friday, SNL have put together a sketch which sees cult classic The Office meeting the much loved fantasy world of Middle-earth.

The sketch aired as Martin Freeman (The Hobbit, Fargo, The Office and Sherlock) hosted the regular Saturday night show. It features Freeman reprising the orginal role of Tim Canterbury mixed with Bilbo Baggins, along with a variety of other Middle-earth characters reliving some of the best Office moments.  The sketch features appearences from Tolkien favourites like Gandalf, Gollem and Legolas amongst others.
