Futurama cast would return “at the drop of a hat” if the show got picked up again

December 22, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Despite airing its finale in 2013, fans of Futurama have been flooding the internet calling for it’s triumphant return and they sorta got what they wanted in The Simpsons/Futurama crossover episode ‘Simpsorama’.

It seems the fans are not the only one’s waiting for the inevitable return to television of Matt Groening’s other big animated television show.

While on promoting duties for the crossover special John DiMaggio – who plays Bender – had this to say:

“The last episode ended the way it did and totally left the door open for more things to happen…Whether it comes back to network television or goes to something like Netflix or something like that, who’s to say? All I know is that the cast would be ready to do it at the drop of a hat.”

Bender was joined by Leela – Katey Sagal – in admitting that the show will likely return at some point in the future:

“We would totally be on board and I wouldn’t be surprised, you know? It’s a show that always kind of shows up again…I find that [Futurama] is so fan-driven that it makes sense that somebody should pick it up.”

Has Futurama had it’s day or would you like to see it return to the small screen?
