Katherine Waterston joins the Steve Jobs biopic

December 24, 2014 by Gary Collinson

It looks like director Danny Boyle’s (127 Hours) Steve Jobs biopic is picking up pace, with Deadline revealing that Inherent Vice star Katherine Waterston has joined the project in the role of Chrisann, the Apple co-founder’s first wife.

Following the departure of Christian Bale from the lead, Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past) has signed on to play Jobs, while the cast also includes Seth Rogen (The Interview) as Steve Wozniak and Jeff Daniels (Dumb and Dumber To) as John Scully. The film is loosely based on Walter Isaacson’s biography of Jobs, and has been penned by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network).
