Chuck Lorre talks Two and a Half Men finale and praises Charlie Sheen

January 16, 2015 by Thomas Roach

Next month Two and a Half Men will finish after 12 seasons and there has been speculation that Charlie Sheen will return for the finale, having been fired from the show four years ago for after being outspoken about the show’s creator Chuck Lorre and the studio Warner Bros.

During a recent Q&A, Lorre was asked about Sheen returning, dodging the question by stating that: “I think we’re going to have a finale that you’re going to be very pleased with. That’s all I’m going to say about it.”

Lorre went on to praise Charlie Sheen’s work before his exit from the show, and talked about the finale honouring Sheen’s contribution:

“It would be inappropriate to not acknowledge the extraordinary success we had with Charlie, and how grateful I am — we all are – for his contributions. There is nothing but great feelings for the eight-and-a-half years we worked together. But how to wrap the show up? It’s tricky…Because, in a way, the show morphed into something else entirely for the last four years, and its something we love. And we want to honor both. How to honor both is the challenge of this finale.”

Last month on Ellen, Ashton Kutcher hinted that he was concerned about shooting the finale because Sheen may be involved. Ss it seems Lorre and Sheen are on much better terms now, it seems highly likely that Sheen will make a return in the series finale, but nothing is official as of yet.

The series finale of Two and a Half Men airs on CBS on February 19th and will be an hour long episode.
