Mark Hamill talks Star Wars: The Force Awakens and returning to the Millennium Falcon

January 19, 2015 by Luke Owen

Before it was announced he’d be returning to the world of The Flash to reprise his role as The Trickster, it was revealed that Mark Hamill would be picking up the lightsabre once again to play Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

“The déjà vu of walking onto the Millennium Falcon again and remembering all these details that they’ve got exactly right from old photographs and old blueprints…I can’t describe the feeling,” Hamill told Extra (via CBM) promoting his new movie Kingsman: The Secret Service. “Even now it seems surreal to me.  It seems hard to believe that it’s actually happening.”

When asked about Star Wars creator George Lucas (who recently had some harsh words about The Academy), Hamill said “seeing [George Lucas] this happy, he’s almost unrecognisable. Because when I was with him [on the original trilogy], he was fretting over all the details, so he didn’t have time to enjoy himself. To seem him in such a good place, it’s thrilling.”
