Gerry Anderson’s A Christmas Miracle and how you can make it happen

March 3, 2015 by Villordsutch

Jamie Anderson & Brains

A Christmas Miracle is an unfinished work by the late Gerry Anderson, MBE – the genius behind hits such as Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Stingray, UFO and Space: 1999 –  which is being brought to the cinema by his son Jamie Anderson, Managing Director of Anderson Entertainment, the film production company set up by his father.

A Christmas Miracle is a computer animated film which tells the story of an alien invasion, who have an unusual demand, that is, “Bring us Santa Claus!”  Gerry Anderson wrote the script and worked with concept artists on designs for some of the characters but, as Alzheimer’s took hold in his last years, the film remained on the drawing board.

Two-thirds of the £30m budget needed to fund A Christmas Miracle is already in place, and Jamie Anderson has pulled together a team which includes people who originally worked with his father on the project, including director Mark Woollard, producer Mark Sherwood, and executive producer Daniel Pickering.

To help push the funding over the finish line, Anderson Entertainment has joined forces with Goldfinch Pictures and entertainment accountants Nyman Libson Paul (‘NLP’) to complete the financing using tax efficient SEIS and EIS investment structures, giving investors up to 64% tax relief (50% income tax relief plus Capital Gains Tax relief of 14p in every pound invested), in addition to 100% Inheritance Tax Relief.

Jamie explains: “We’re now in the final stretch of fund raising for a major motion picture production of one of Dad’s greatest projects.  Working with the highly experienced teams at Goldfinch Pictures and NLP, we’ve devised an investment structure that can give investors a £1 stake for only 36p, accompanied by other attractive tax reliefs and exemptions.”

Jamie adds, “We drafted in Scott Tracy, one of Thunderbirds best-loved characters, to help us at a British Film Institute presentation in London this week to help convince investors that A Christmas Miracle really IS go and I can’t wait to get started!”

If you would like more information on the project and how to invest in A Christmas Miracle then you can contact Stephanie Herriger at Goldfinch Pictures on 020 7433 2927 and you can also email her at stephanie.herriger@nlpca.co.uk.
