Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth wanted for The Raid remake

February 23, 2014 by admin

Last week we heard that Screen Gems and XYZ Films are developing an English language Hollywood remake of Gareth Evans’ acclaimed Indonesian action thriller The Raid, tapping Patrick Hughes (Red Hill, The Expendables 3) to direct.

Now we have our first names linked to the role of two brothers on opposite sides of the law, with The Wrap reporting that real life siblings Chris Hemsworth (Rush, Thor: The Dark World) and Liam Hemsworth (The Expendables 2, The Hunger Games) “have been mentioned as possible targets for the hard-hitting action movie”.

Of course, it’s a long way from being mentioned to being cast, so don’t be surprised if this one doesn’t pan out. Still, if it does, do you think the Hemsworth brothers are right for the roles? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or head on over to The Flickering Myth Forum…
