Bruce Campbell joins Fargo season 2 as Ronald Reagan

March 25, 2015 by James Garcia

According to TVLine, legendary B movie actor Bruce Campbell (Army of Darkness) has joined the cast of Fargo‘s second season as B movie actor-turned-President of the United States, Ronald Reagan.

Campbell will appear as Reagan in one episode of the FX series, as he goes on his first campaign for President and swings through Fargo, North Dakota. According to FX Networks CEO John Landgraf, Fargo‘s second season – which takes place in the 1970s and stars Patrick Wilson as a young Lou Solverson, who was played by Keith Carradine in the first season – will take place in the late 1970s and is set against “the cultural transformation that was going on at that time.” Campbell will interact with a few of the characters, and some of Reagan’s movies will be a part of the series.

This is pretty great casting, and will potentially reunite Campbell with his Burn Notice co-star, Jeffrey Donovan, who has a recurring role in the show.

Fargo‘s second season is expected to air this fall.
