Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up gets all-star cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Ariana Grande and more

October 15, 2020 by EJ Moreno

Adam McKay is known for having impressive casts in his movies, but this might be his best yet as Netflix and McKay have given the previously cast Jennifer Lawrence quite the all-star group of co-stars for the film Don’t Look Up.

Today, we’ve learned that Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry, and Tomer Sisley are all joining the upcoming project.

Reports say that the bulk of this cast was set back in spring, but DiCaprio held up the news while he figured out his shooting schedule for the upcoming Martin Scorsese film Killers of the Flower Moon. This is the first time the actor has ventured into Netflix project, after flirting with but never fully committing to any project.

Don’t Look Up comes from McKay as he pens the script and helms the project. He’ll also be producing the film along with Kevin Messick under McKay’s Hyperobject Industries Banner.

Little is known about the film at this time, but it will follow two low-level astronomers who embark on a media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy Earth.
