Amazon Studios has announced a number of actors cast in its upcoming action thriller Heads of State alongside John Cena (Peacemaker), Idris Elba (Luther: The Fallen Sun) and Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Citadel).
Joining the trio in the ensemble is Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon), Stephen Root (Barry), Carla Gugino (Leopard Skin), Jack Quaid (The Boys), Sarah Niles (Ted Lasso), Richard Coyle (Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore), Clare Foster (Sherlock), Katrina Durden (Doctor Strange) and Aleksandr Kuznetsov (Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore).
No plot details are known, but Heads of State is described as “Air Force One meets Midnight Run.”
The film will be directed by Ilya Naishuller (Nobody) from a script by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec after a draft by Harrison Query. The Safran Company is producing Heads of State with Peter Safran and John Rickard overseeing production with Cena, Elba and Marcus Viscidi serving as executive producers.
