Amber Heard horror movie In The Fire gets a first look image and poster

September 8, 2023 by EJ Moreno

Amber Heard is returning to one of the film genres that put her on the map, starring in the upcoming Conor Allyn-helmed horror film In The Fire, which has just unveiled its first image seen above.

Debuting on Friday the 13th this October, In The Fire is a new independent horror that sees Heard in her first horror film since 2013’s The Ward. The actress first burst onto the film scene with the shocking All the Boys Love Mandy Lane in 2006, then appeared in the fan-favorite Zombieland.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film sees Heard “as a doctor who travels to a remote plantation to treat a young boy who demonstrates unusual abilities. The local priest (Eduardo Noriega), however, believes the boy is possessed and doesn’t believe conventional medicine can help him.”

Heard herself even discussed the project recently, calling it “a meditation on the almost supernatural powers of love told through a strong-willed and independent woman at the turn of the 20th century.”

Alongside Heard, Lorenzo McGovern Zaini, Sophie Amber, Luca Calvani, and Yari Gugliucci also star in the cast. Take a look at the poster here…

In the Fire comes to theaters, On Demand and Digital on Friday, October 13th.
