And the winners of the 73rd Golden Globes are…

January 11, 2016 by Robert Kojder

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association never ceases to surprise and go against the grain. Only a select few categories in film lined up with the predictions of professional analysts, while all of television was completely out of left field. That’s not to say anything here isn’t well deserved.

Except for The Martian anyway, which was on the receiving end of many jokes, including a look of confusion from director Ridley Scott while accepting the film’s Best Comedy award. Wasn’t that just hilarious when Matt Damon got left behind on Mars and nearly died?

Leonardo DiCaprio also won an award, and here’s a little fun fact: the Best Actor category for the Oscars and Golden Globes has aligned for nine of the past 10 years. Could it be Leo’s time, finally?
