May 11, 2019 by Andrew Newton

PlayStation’s State of Play for May revealed a new asymmetrical multiplayer action game inspired by the classic film franchise, Predator.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is currently in development by Illfonic and is planned to launch next year so there’s still some time to go, however, there’s a brand new cinematic trailer for you to watch below…

In Predator: Hunting Grounds one group of players will take control of an elite team of soldiers, equipped with a variety of state of the art weaponry such as shotguns, snipers and SMGs while one players takes control of the well trained and deadly Predator kitted out with all his alien tech’.  While the soldiers carry out their missions against various bad guys, the Predator will be closing in.

In a recent post on the official Playstation Blog Charles Brungardt, CEO of IllFonic stated ‘Our team’s passion for Predator helped us launch the partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment and Fox. Not only do these powerhouses believe in our vision, which has made this a dream project, they understand what we want to create. They have given us so much to work with and are empowering us to create something new for fans, while expanding the lore of the Predator.’

Drop into the Predator universe through a new competitive online multiplayer experience.

Play as an elite Fireteam charged to complete paramilitary operations while a Predator mercilessly hunts you. Or, BE the Predator, armed with all the deadly alien weaponry you’ve grown to love and pursue your prey.
