Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer arriving before the end of the year?

October 24, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Despite the fact that the film itself is still some fifteen months away from release, Dark Knight fan site Batman-on-Film is reporting that the first ‘Batman heavy’ teaser trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is ready to go, and that we’ll be seeing it before the curtain falls on 2014…

According to the site: “The first teaser trailer for the film is complete and ready to go. The overt hint I got from these folks is that the teaser will be revealed this Fall along with a November or December film release (and online, of course). I have no idea to which specific film it may be “attached,” but New Line’s (which is Warner Bros.’ sister company) THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES is being released on December 17, 2014. By the way Batman fans, I’ve heard that this teaser is ‘Batman heavy.'”

Personally, I’d be very surprised if we get a trailer so soon, with the first look at Man of Steel coming just six months before its release. However, WB did deliver a teaser for The Dark Knight Rises a year before it hit cinemas, so you never know…

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25th, 2016 with Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Jena Malone (Sucker Punch), Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
