Black Flash returning to The Flash and other Arrowverse shows

January 9, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Having been transformers into the Black Flash in the season two finale of The Flash, Hunter Zolomon is set for a return to the Arrowverse, with executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealing that he may even pop up on Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

“He will [be] the classic comic book Grim Reaper aspect,” said Kreisberg at the Television Critics Association winter press tour (via EW). “It’s just going to be on multiple shows. He’s a classic character and we have storylines on multiple shows that fit having him return. There’s something so scary about him, even scarier than when he was just a man because now he is the Grim Reaper, he is like the Devil. How do you stop the Devil? It presents an interesting challenge for the heroes of the respective shows in which he appears.”

Kreisberg also spoke about the possibility of Teddy Sears returning to the role, stating that: “I’m not sure. Teddy is pretty busy with 24: Legacy.”

In other news from The CW’s DC panel at TCA, it was announced that Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl have all been renewed [see here]. a Constantine animated series is set to get underway on CW Seed [see here], Music Meister is confirmed as the villain for the upcoming Supergirl and The Flash crossover [see here], and there are currently no plans to spin off Tyler Hoechlin’s Man of Steel into his own Superman show [see here].
