Brandy has a mother-off in new trailer for A24’s The Front Room

August 15, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Brandy knows how to mother, but can she handle one devilish mother?

In the trailer for A24’s upcoming horror film The Front Room, the singer/actress faces off against the mother-in-law from hell in what looks to be an explosive ride.

She’ll star opposite Kathryn Hunter, who is known for her star-making turn in Joel Coen’s The Tragedy of Macbeth. Hunter is also known for her work in Poor Things and the upcoming Francis Ford Coppola-helmed film Megalopolis.

While Brandy is best known for her time on the sitcom Moesha and her stunning music career, horror fans will know her for her memorable supporting role in the 90s slasher sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

Check out the poster and trailer for The Front Room below…

Everything goes to hell for newly-pregnant Belinda (Brandy) after her mother-in-law (Kathryn Hunter) moves in. As the diabolical guest tries to get her claws on the child, Belinda must draw the line somewhere…

Max and Sam Eggers wrote and directed The Front Room, which stars Brandy, Andrew Burnap, Neal Huff, and Kathryn Hunter.

The Front Room is in theaters on September 6th.
