Blue Finch Films has shared a trailer, poster and images for director Cristian Ponce’s Brazilian horror A Mother’s Embrace.
The film follows a young firefighter as she leads a team attempting to evacuate the elderly from a retirement home as storm hits Rio De Janeiro, but as the building begins to flood, she discovers something sinister lurks beneath the surface and the residents are not as innocent as they seem.
In 1996 a young firefighter (Marjorie Estiano) and her team are called to help an old people’s home that is at risk of flood during the worst storm to ever hit Rio de Janeiro. As they try their best to evacuate the elderly, the firefighter soon finds that something sinister is lurking beneath the surface, and the residents are not as innocent as they first seemed. Entangled in their web, she must fight through her own traumatic past to escape.
A Mother’s Embrace is set for release on November 10th.
