Bring Ray Harryhausen’s Bubo the Mechanical Owl home with Star Ace’s Clash of the Titans replica

April 27, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

Sideshow and Star Ace Toys have unveiled the chrome Bubo the Owl vinyl replica which is based on the classic Ray Harryhausen design of the mechanical owl in the 1981 Greek mythology-inspired fantasy adventure Clash of the Titans. It is available to pre-order now, priced at $299; take a look here…

Introducing the Star Ace 30 cm Soft Vinyl Chrome Bubo the Owl, a mesmerizing collectible that will delight fans and collectors alike! One of Ray Harryhausen’s most beloved creations Bubo, the mechanical owl, is literally a gift from the gods. This small gold bird with ruby eyes has proved to be one of the most enduring and endearing of all the creatures Harryhausen brought to the screen.

This 30 cm vinyl model of Bubo is scaled to match the actual size of the original puppet. This new deluxe version has a simulated chrome finish to better emulate the look of the original puppet and comes with a polyresin base with a metal nameplate. Don’t miss your chance to add this Bubo (Chrome Version) Statue to your Ray Harryhausen collection today!
