Captain America: Brave New World teams with Tide PODS for an immersive 5D movie screening

January 8, 2025 by EJ Moreno

Marvel is messier than ever, so much so that Tide is teaming with the superhero movie franchise for its latest release, Captain America: Brave New World.

As Tide prepares to launch the “most powerful clean and best stain removal POD,” they’ll see a partnership with the Walt Disney Studios comic book brand that’ll bring forth a once-in-a-lifetime movie experience.

The company and Marvel will collaborate on Thursday, February 13, to host an exclusive 5D “Collateral Stains Screening” for the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World in celebration of Tide Ultra Oxi Boost Power PODS.

“Saving the world can get pretty messy,” said Holly Frank, Walt Disney Studios VP, Partnership Management and Operations, Marvel. “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Tide to highlight everyday people in the MCU – and their “Collateral Stains” – in the middle of our most messy and awesome action in Captain America: Brave New World, and other fan-favorite and upcoming Marvel titles.”

“No one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is immune to the stains that occur from epic battles of superhero proportions,” said Alex Perez, Vice President for North America Laundry at Procter and Gamble. “We’re thrilled to join forces with ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ to bring these collateral stains to life to show how the biggest stains in any universe can only be cleaned by Tide, the most powerful clean in any universe. So whether you’ve spilled your morning coffee or get Hulk-sized stains on your way home, Tide has you covered.”

According to the press release, the new Tide Oxi Boost Laundry Pods have “2X Oxi power*, which means it’s the best stain removal POD and clothes come out looking and smelling clean.”

Suppose you’re able to attend the promotional screening. In that case, you’ll need some powerful cleaners as the immersive 5D screening will get a bit messy:

“Fans of Captain America: Brave New World can venture beyond the screen via Tide’s immersive ‘Collateral Stains Screening’ experience, where attendees will get the chance to be one of the first to see the film. The catch? The audience will get to watch the movie all while experiencing collateral stains as if they were on the periphery of the action. Captain America makes a grand entry and stirs up some dirt? The audience gets dirty, too. Epic battles lead to muddy stains? Attendees will also get mud on their clothing.”

The screening will be held on Thursday, February 13th, at Zero Space in Brooklyn, NY. For more information, visit www.Tide.com/CollateralStainScreening.

Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World follows Sam Wilson, who after meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.

The film is directed by Julius Onah and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore from a script by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton. The film stars Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, with Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford.

Captain America: Brave New World opens in theaters on February 14th, 2025.
