Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels unleashes first trailer

April 11, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Marvel Studios has debuted the first trailer for the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels.

Directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman), the film sees Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) teaming up with Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) to save the universe after her powers become entangled with the pair when she embarks on a mission to an anomalous wormhole. Watch the trailer below…

Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team-up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels.’

The Marvels is directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman) and features a cast that includes Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, with Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon in as-yet-unrevealed roles.

The Marvels is set for release on November 10th.
